The College & Career Centers at the four comprehensive high schools in the El Dorado Union High School District have joined forces to offer a FREE resource for students seeking employment and/or career development opportunities in El Dorado County.

This website will assist students in connecting with local businesses and organizations in our community that offer employment, internships, job shadows, and volunteer opportunities for current and graduated EDUHSD students. The website will be live year-round and will be updated regularly as new opportunities become available.

It is our privilege to introduce the brand new EDUHSD Career Website!

Volunteer. A large group of hands together with a red heart painted on it
You'll meet great people, learn new things, and you make the world a better place. You'll gain valuable skills, work experience, and you'll learn more about yourself & how you work with others.

The people you meet are usually people who want to make a difference - tap into their desire to help you and don't be afraid to ask questions about how they got to where they are. Be open to new experiences & use those experiences to propel you forward in life. Take the time to try new things.

Get involved, life is way more fun when you’re doing something you love!

Job Shadows & InternshipsGo To Top of Page

Go For It!
Students interested in a job shadow are encouraged to drop by the Career Center & pick up an application. Screening includes attendance, grades, discipline, and teacher/counselor recommendation. Apply early, job shadows take weeks to arrange.

An internship is like a job shadow, only it's over an extended period of time. They can be either paid or unpaid, and it looks great on your resume! Not many internships are available in our community - stop by the Career Center to inquire.

Community members & parents who are interested in exploring the idea of hosting a job shadow or internship in their workplace are encouraged to contact the Career Center.

ASVAB stands for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery and is used to determine qualification for enlistment in the US Armed Forces (Military Occupational Specialties).
