PSAT

2020 PSAT

Due to COVID 19, we are unable to offer a PSAT administration on our campus this October. We know that every Fall, Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors look forward to this opportunity to take a full-length practice SAT, and for Juniors, the opportunity to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship. The College Board is in the process of attempting to offer an additional PSAT later this year or early in 2021. In the meantime, we encourage our students to take advantage of the many free online practice opportunities lsited below.

SAT Subject Tests

SAT Subject Tests

SAT Subject Tests are an additional opportunity to show your knowledge of a specific subject.  There are 20 SAT tests which cover: English, history, mathematics, science, and languages. These tests help colleges understand your strengths and are a good indicator of how ready you are for college-level courses. Some schools require you to submit SAT Subject Test scores, while other schools recommend or consider SAT Subject Test scores for the admission process. Check out this list of colleges that use the test and always be sure to double-check a college’s official policy on its own website.

Which Test Should I Take?

SAT vs ACT: Which Test is Right for you?

"Many students and parents begin the college prep process by comparing the ACT and SAT tests. The SAT and ACT generally cover the same topics. Both ACT and SAT scores are used for college admissions decisions and awarding merit-based scholarships. Most colleges do not prefer one test over the other. Neither the SAT or ACT is harder than the other. Different students tend to do better on one test over the other." - The Princeton Review
