LOS RIOS COMMUNITY COLLEGE REGISTRATION OPENS 2/1/18
The application for community colleges in the Los Rios School District opens tomorrow, February 1, 2018. If your student is interested in attending Folsom Lake College, Sacramento City College, American River College or Cosumnes River College, have them go to www.flc.losrios.edu/new-students to register. Just click on "Complete Application" and complete the questions asked. Students must have their Social Security Number with them while registering.

FOLSOM LAKE ASSESSMENT TESTING
The purpose of assessment testing is to place students in English, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Math classes that match their skill level so that students can be successful. This test is for those planning to attend Folsom Lake College, American River College, Cosumnes River College, and Sacramento City College. Placement is on a first come, first serve basis and NO appointment is necessary. See below for dates, times and locations.
Testing Site: El Dorado Center, Rooms C217 & C202
Tuesday, February 20th at 3:30 pm
Tuesday, February 27th at 3:30 pm If you are student who has a 6th period and cannot be there by 3:30 pm, you can still test. You must arrive by 4:00 pm at the latest.

Saturday, March 3rd from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

The California deadline for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is March 2, 2018. If you are continuing your education after high school, you should submit a FAFSA. Even if you do not qualify for free federal or state aid, many colleges require you to submit a FAFSA for scholarship qualification. TIP: Create an FSA ID (Federal Student Aid Identification) before beginning your FAFSA.

This event will include: Hiring Fair (get a summer job!), Volunteer Opportunities, Career Technical Programs, Internship and job-shadow opportunities. 9th - 12th graders, parents, family, and the community are invited!
