I have taught students with severe handicaps since 1982 and my first teaching assignment was in Sacramento County. In 1988 I moved to Cameron Park and in 1990 I began working in the special education program with the El Dorado County Office of Education. I have been at El Dorado High School since 1991.
My students and I love being at this school. The staff and the students have welcomed my class and made us feel included. My students mainstream into some of the classes: Drama, 3-Dimensional Design, Dance, Modified PE, and ASB. We go to the library twice per month and Mrs. Avery reads us a story related to our thematic study. I have three wonderful assistants that work in my program: Linda McGowan, Kaye Roser and Kristin Holsey. El Dorado High School is a great place to work! |
