Computer Technology 1

These tests are given in Computer Technology 1 or on a Saturday in the spring (contact the District Office to find out on what date it is offered). Students who fail one or more of the tests will be given many opportunities to make them up.

Computer Technology 1 is designed to teach students the skills needed to pass these tests. Students will learn the basics of the following software:

• Microsoft Word

• Microsoft Excel

• Microsoft PowerPoint

• Microsoft Access

• Microsoft Internet Explorer

• Microsoft Windows 98 (2 nd Edition)

Computer Technology 2, 3, and 4
Students will learn the more advanced features of the software introduced in Computer Technology 1. In addition, students will begin to integrate the software packages together to use the computer more effectively and efficiently.

Accounting
Students will learn the double-entry accounting method used in businesses today. Once a basic understanding of the methods is achieved, students will learn to use computerized accounting software.
