- An easy-to-use directory to newspaper Web sites from all around the world; very handy for social studies and foreign language units
- Mountain Democrat
- The Mountain Democrat, California's oldest newspaper serving
the western slope of El Dorado County since 1851, is now available
online.
- Sacramento Bee
- Our closest "big city" paper. Unfortunately, free archives
are only available for seven days - older than that and there
is a fee for access.
- Christian Science Monitor
- This well respected newspaper is known for it's unbiased coverage,
excellent reporting, and special features.

- The Spanish Language Newspaper Online.

- L.A.'s leading daily newspaper.

- This is the online version of the free tabloid covering the

- A national newspaper. Easy to search, especially if a particular
section is checked.
- TIME.com
- TIME magazine daily news summaries, including links to related stories in their archives, and the TIME magazine online edition. Searchable archives link available at the bottom of the page.

- Articles from the print version of U.S.News as well as daily news items.
- 10x10/100 Words and Pictures That Define the Time
