The Medical Arts Pathway at El Dorado High School is committed to having students explore as many careers as possible and provide a strong foundation for a career in the medical field. Students are given the opportunity to master skills needed for the healthcare industry.  Moreover, students who complete the Medical Arts Pathway will be prepared to be leaders within their profession. 
 
If interested, please submit and application and the Letter of Recommendation Form found below.  Both are due by February 9th, 2024

A School within a School
Students will move together through academic classes and medical technical classes throughout their four years at El Dorado High School. 
 
Job Shadows
The Academy has developed relationships with over forty local businesses to mentor our students. In their junior year once a month, students will have the opportunity to visit various workplaces and job shadow an employee. This includes observing their daily tasks and learning what qualifications are needed to obtain their job. 
 
What type of student should apply?

This program is geared toward students who are interested in any facet of the medical field.  The coursework is designed to meet the needs of students who learn better when their classroom experiences are connected to the “real world.”

The pathway offers a rigorous academic program that meets the requirements for a 4-year university. The program also prepares graduates to enter a variety of post-high school options including community college.
