Fall
- Be involved. If you are not yet involved in something you enjoy, join a club or another activity.
- Attend College Rep Visits in the Upper Quad at lunch.
- Consider taking Advanced Placement classes next year.
- Make sure you understand college A-G requirements. Meet with your counselor if you have questions.
Spring
- Be diligent in choosing your summer plans. Working, volunteering, or taking a summer course at a local college are all wonderful options. View the Advance Education options for high school students available at Folsom Lake College.
- Start researching colleges that you might be interested in. The BigFuture tool on the CollegeBoard website is very helpful.
- Find out whether the college you are interested in offers college nights or financial aid nights that you can attend.
- Attend Career Expo at UMHS in the Spring. More information will be sent out at the start of the Spring semester.
All Year
- Remember to keep a file of all honors, awards, activities, and volunteer service - even a scrawled post-it note in a folder or envelope will help you later in building a resume or filling out an application
- Keep your grades up!
